AHG Golf.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Cleveland\u00a0CBX 2\u00a0wedge is purposefully designed to fit the needs of golfers who play cavity back irons.\u00a0 Performance, feel, and forgiveness for the every man golfer.<\/p>\n The paradox of the golf equipment world is that everybody has the ability to go out and purchase the same clubs their favorite pros game week in and week out on the PGA Tour, but should they?\u00a0 The fact is that most golfers struggle to break 90 on a regular basis.\u00a0 That\u2019s why Cleveland introduced its line of CBX wedges.\u00a0 They are wedges with all the functionality golfers want with the forgiveness that the vast majority of them need.<\/p>\n Pardon the terrible pun, but\u00a0these wedges look Tour-ific<\/strong>.\u00a0 At address, the CBX 2 has a look that is not far off of what you would expect from a blade-style wedge.<\/p>\n Side by side with Cleveland\u2019s blade-style RTX\u00a0offering, the face on the CBX 2 is noticeably larger.\u00a0 The sole is also significantly wider.<\/p>\n I think when it comes to golf equipment, most golfers are susceptible to a bit of vanity, whether they are eager to admit it or not.\u00a0 By that token, it\u2019s a breath of fresh air that these wedges don\u2019t have a bunch of design elements that scream \u201cCHECK OUT MY TECH FEATURES!\u201d\u00a0 The clubs have a\u00a0clean, classic, and razor-sharp<\/b>\u00a0look.<\/p>\n The sound of impact is a crisp \u2018tock.\u2019\u00a0 The feel is excellent.\u00a0 Though not as buttery soft as a forged blade-style wedge, the\u00a0feedback on strike location is evident<\/b>\u00a0in the way the ball comes off the club and rolls out on the green, and also in the hands to a greater degree than I expected from a cavity back wedge.<\/p>\n One of my favorite parts about playing golf is being creative around the greens.\u00a0 Deciding what route the ball ought to take to the hole is often a much more nuanced process from 10 yards than it is from 100.\u00a0\u00a0I was able to open up the blade and pop it up in the air or hood the face and get it running quickly<\/b>\u00a0with equal ease.<\/p>\n On full shots, the\u00a0CBX 2 gets the ball in the air in a hurry<\/b>.\u00a0 From the rough or from the fairway, well-struck shots launch very high.\u00a0 A ball struck with less than total precision will get a couple more yards of carry than one struck with a blade-style wedge.<\/p>\n I also noticed that while the turf conditions at some courses are more conducive to creating high spinning wedge shots than others, these wedges stuck or spun back just as much if not more than my gamers.\u00a0 Fresh grooves always help with that, too, and the\u00a0CBX 2 has a particularly beautiful, zippy-looking milling pattern<\/b>.<\/p>\n Finally, Cleveland has\u00a0simplified their grind offerings with the CBX 2<\/strong>.\u00a0 In the RTX-4, there are three sole options.\u00a0 In the CBX 2, there is one sole per loft, optimized for the way that loft is predominantly used.<\/p>\n The games of regular golfers look nothing like those of Tour pros, so why should the clubs in our bags look the same?<\/p>\n From my perspective, there\u2019s
