The Odyssey Triple Track putters take some of the company\u2019s most popular shapes and add a new alignment scheme.\u00a0 Works extremely well with Triple Track golf balls.<\/p>\n

Introduction<\/h2>\n

If you head to the putting green at your local golf shop, you\u2019ll find countless putters that claim to improve your aim.\u00a0 While promises of improved alignment have been around for ages, few OEMs have gone all in on a single concept the way Callaway has with Triple Track.\u00a0 First seen on their golf balls, Triple Track has now made its way into the Odyssey putter line up.\u00a0 I tested a couple of these putters to see if they could deliver on the promise of superior aim.<\/p>\n

Looks<\/h2>\n

The namesake feature of the Triple Track putter is also the most visually dominant.\u00a0 Triple Track alignment is the name for the thick white stripe with three multi-colored lines down the center.\u00a0 Personally, I don\u2019t love the look of it, but it\u2019s there for performance not style.<\/p>\n

Odyssey Triple Track putters come in\u00a0five different headshape<\/strong>, all of which will be familiar to Odyssey fans.\u00a0 The Two-Ball and Two-Ball Blade are modern classics.\u00a0 Odyssey\u2019s Double Wide is the most conventional of the Triple Track options.\u00a0 The Marxman and Ten offer something for those in search of a very modern look.<\/p>\n

Sound & Feel<\/h2>\n

The insert in the face of the Odyssey Triple Track putters is white, but it\u2019s not your dad\u2019s White Hot.\u00a0 The new Microhinge Star insert is designed to be\u00a0firmer with a more audible impact sound<\/strong>, and both of those traits were evident from the first roll.\u00a0 Striking a urethane-covered ball produces a medium volume \u201ctock\u201d which is in stark contrast to the \u201cthud\u201d of most White Hot inserts.<\/p>\n

Performance<\/h2>\n

The big question is, \u201cDoes Triple Track alignment actually work?\u201d\u00a0 As with almost everything in golf, the answer is going to be dependent on the user.\u00a0 Callaway\u2019s testing says that Triple Track does help a majority of golfers.\u00a0 For me, I found that the Triple Track putter on its own was not much better or worse than a regular line (my preference is for putters without a line).\u00a0 However,\u00a0when I paired the Triple Track putter with a Triple Track golf ball it was like a light went on<\/strong>.\u00a0 I felt like I saw my lines with unbelievable precision, and the results backed up that feeling.\u00a0 If you\u2019re going to try a Triple Track putter, make sure you test a Triple Track ball, too.<\/p>\n

As I mentioned earlier, the Triple Track putter line has\u00a0five head shapes<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Marxman, Double Wide, 2-Ball, 2-Ball Blade, and Ten.\u00a0 Two of those models \u2013\u00a0the Ten and Double Wide \u2013 are offered in two different neck configurations<\/strong>, one face balanced, one with toe hag.\u00a0 Though there are no true blades, most golfers should be able to find something that fits their eye and stroke reasonably well.<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/h2>\n

Though I\u2019m typically someone who prefers no help with my alignment, I have to admit that I found the Odyssey Triple Track putters very effective when paired with Callaway\u2019s Triple Track golf balls.\u00a0 While I don\u2019t think there\u2019s any one answer that\u2019s best for all golfers, I do think that anyone struggling with their aim ought to give these flat sticks a look.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
